Mara is the Case Coordinator for the Support to End Exploitation Now (SEEN) Program at the Children's Advocacy Center of Suffolk County. In this role, she facilitates a multidisciplinary response to cases involving commercially sexually exploited and high risk youth. She upkeeps effective communication between partners to ensure youth are receiving comprehensive, youth-centered services from multiple agencies across Suffolk County.
Mara has previously worked at the Children's Advocacy Center as the SEEN Program Assistant from July to December of 2023 under Northeastern University's co-op program. She also has prior experience working in anti-trafficking efforts, including serving as the Impact Intern at Restore NYC, a non-profit organization that provides services to adult victims of human trafficking.
Mara is in a part-time position as she finishes her program at Northeastern University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology and is excited to return to the CAC to continue her work in providing trauma-informed responses to CSEC cases. She enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends!
